Jog

The Title to this post is not about the verb, Jog.  I definitely have not entered into that world of exercise...I will say yet because one day I may take up jogging...heheheheh...Still nothing like Clogging.

*But anyways back to the post*

I have been reflecting recently when writing my last blog; and it has sparked an interest to take a deeper jog down memory lane.  I remember years and years ago I used to do blogging with a twist called Xanga...Back then I thought of it as an online journal, which is basically the definition of blogging.  Tonight I actually googled my old Xanga of Teekup83, and I actually found it!!  You guys who had xanga should try it :-)  Teekup takes me way back to college days-- my roomies used that name because that was the name I used for my AIM addiction.  NO I was not addicted to Toothpaste!  I was obsessed with typing to people over the internet as instant messaging...sometimes my own roomates would chit chat through our computer, that truly is where I learned to type! Really these days it is kinda of like text messaging...lol Back then we didn't have touchscreen anything..WOW technology has definitely advanced!    Anyways I have copied and pasted one of the entries because it is amazing how it ties into to today.

Life is Good and God is Great!
Well I don't know if all of you know..but as of January 6th I put in my two week notice at Texas Roadhouse. WHY..you ask, that is a very difficult question to answer...but to sum it up I am being obedient to God.  He wants me to move on and use me in another area.  WHERE..you ask, that is another difficult question to answer..because honestly I haven't the slightest idea, that is the fun part though.  I am definately trusting my Lord with all of my heart and walking by faith.  It definately is not comfortable, but that makes us grow more and become stronger. So yeah that is a major change that I am undergoing as you read this, but life brings oranges make orange juice (basically make the best situation outta what you got)  Now on the other hand...I have an absolutely outta this world amazing wonderful caring boyfriend that is outstanding!  WOW, He definately is my first boyfriend and boy o boy is he ever an awesome guy!  Head over heels for this man of God!...heheheheh...
But yeah that is what is going on now in my life, definately completely different than 4 months ago when I was not as involved in West Ridge, didn't have Sunshine ( THE most awesomest Chic...my best friend...I love you girl!!), didn't have this new idea of jobs, and surely didn't have Bubba ( The bestest guy after Gods own heart...My boyfriend!)
Yeah so that is the breakdown of what is going on NOW in my life!  I definately will miss TRH..but I will definately be back to visit everyone, don't think they can get rid of me that fast, aint gonna happen!  Well All of you have a wonderful week..and don't forget that it is kids night tomorrow the theme is Hillbilly...if you are a server that is looking at my site, shoo I don't know I just thought I would add that in there!
Love YA!
~Theresa

I look back at when I wrote that and truly I didn't know what the future was.  And I am SOO glad that I decided to be obedient to the Lord or I wouldn't be in the place that I am in now.  It is true I did quit my Texas Roadhouse Job as a Marketing Director back in January of 2005, because the Lord removed the JOY!  That is how I knew God was shewwing me on.

I remember at that same time I learned a very important lesson from my brother Brian.  He doesn't know that God was using him to teach me, which I think that is awesome in itself!  Brian has a little daughter and back then Madison was wee little.  But Brian was playing with Madison and he was throwing her up in the air where he let go of her and then seconds later caught her.
Life Changing Lesson
That is a perfect picture of what the Lord wants us to do, TRUST IN HIM!  Madison even being as small as she was trusted her father, Brian to always catch her when she was coming down.  Brian is a picture of my Heavenly Father and Madison is a picture of Me.  God wants to throw me up in the air and he really desires me to trust him that he will catch me.  So that is what I did!  I quit TRH and I didn't know where God was throwing me but I KNEW he was going to catch me and not let me fall!  Saying all that I  did get an awesome opportunity to grow in a medical office.  I started February of 2005 as a MRI/Referral Coordinator working at Georgia Pain Clinic.  And now to this day I am still there...no longer named Georgia Pain Clinic it is now Pain Solutions Treatment Centers.  I have been working there for 5 years and love every day of it, God definitely has his hand in it!  I am now the Marietta Office Manager and I have a great team of ladies working behind me!  I couldn't do it without them...they are shinning stars...always positive, I am so blessed!

This was One Year later in 2006!  Actually My Bridal Shower was the same day
So I bet years and years down the road I will google this Blog and see where the Lord has taken me!!

Roy Rogers Jr "Bubba"

 MY BUBBA

Well since I have introduced my beautiful daughter it is time to reveal the loving husband!  His name is Roy Rogers Jr...But I do not know him by that name...He is Bubba to us :-)  Although just a month ago his daughter finally called him Dada and not Bubba.  It absolutely melted his heart when he heard "dada" come out of her mouth. Although when she said "bubba" that was precious too,  Shooo any word that comes out of her mouth is precious...all though I can do without the lil fits that she produces, but hey keep it real right ;-)

I don't have many older pictures but this is one of our first Christmas' as a couple

Anyways...I had met the love of my life when I was just turning 21 years old.  Actually on my birthday he surprised me and gave me a call on my phone to wish me a happy birthday...definitely heart smiling at that moment! I remember our first date was when I was working at Texas Roadhouse as a marketing director and I had to close that night so I got off work at 11:00 pm.  And then after that I rushed home to get ready for my first date...when he arrived at my house he was greeted by my parents that were as real as ever!  I remember they were working on the day bed in our guest bedroom and my dad had lubrication all over his hands and he answered the door and the first thing he said was I am sorry about my hands me and Cheryl were lubricating the bed...AWWW...I love my parents soo much!  And then the next thing my dad said was do you go muddin with that truck...again...AWWW I love my daddy soo much!  But anyways we were off to the Marietta diner on November 19th, 2004.  And that was the best dinner I had ever had!  So basically at that night I know I realized, and I am pretty sure he realized that we had something very special!  Not to bore ya'll with all the details but when we got done eating dinner he drove me home and we were infront of my house in his truck and we just sat there and talked for 3 hours straight..(I promise just talking ;-)...basically that means time flew soo fast that Bubba didn't even realize his truck was still on. What a special night :-)
This was a LIFE CHANGING day!

So Fast forward a year later on November 13th we were at a Taylor Farm Park eating subway on a blanket near the pond and that is when the special moment happened when he asked me to spend the rest of my life with him...and OF course I said Absolutely!  So that is where my family started from...GOSH just typing all this makes me remember about all the different times.  OK So I will tell you a few..since I am thinking about them...hehehhe

For our first Christmas he gave me my first kiss...He presented it like it was a present and he told me to shut my eyes because he had to get my present so I shut my eyes in anticipation of some kind of surprise and then he leaned in and kissed me...Gosh my heart skipped a beat!  That moment was so special to me because not only was it my first kiss with my husband, but it was my first kiss ever!  And I would not have changed anything about it!

Then another very special time was when I met Bubba's family.  It actually was my second date with him when he had asked me to go with him to his Family's Thanksgiving, that I was absolutely beside myself that this fella that I had the best first date with just asked me to be a part of his Thanksgiving! I remember he came over to my house all dressed very nice and he brought in little debbie cakes and asked if I had a tupperware to put them in.  I didn't understand what was going on but I went along with his plan and he unwrapped each debbie and place them in the tupperware very nicely...and he said this is what we are brining as our dish.  I was thinking to myself you just bought them from the store and you are unwrapping them as presenting them as a dish...ok whatever floats your boat.  But we arrived at his Dad's thanksgiving and that is where he brought the dish...and everyone was laughing and said this is the typical thing for Bubba.  But anyways when I was there I had met his Dad and his step- mom and his two step brothers and his sister and their families.  At that time his youngest sister was on a cruise.  But we had a fabulous dinner and they learned about me and I learned about them.  Then after we ate lunch we went over to his Mom's house and gosh I remember those awesome Potato Boats...that is a tradition!  Everyone calls her Honey and that fits her soo well...she is even sweeter than honey!  And that day I fell in love with not only Bubba but his family!

Guys I can go on and on and on...But in summary...this man is very special and an awesome husband, father, leader, Man after God's own heart!  The humblest man I have ever met...Dang I am soo Blessed!

Our Wedding Day
So moving on we got married June 17th , 2006 and of course that  definitely holds a very special place in my heart.

Then April 1st 2008 we realized that I was 3 months pregnant!  And again that is life changing day as well :-)

                                             Then 6 months later...she appeared!

Now how can you say Night Night to this face!

There on the couch behind her is all her hard work :-)  Which we happened to be watching Hoarding Show
And now we are just loving life every minute that is revealed to us...Definitely alot of fun with a lil 23 month.  This picture was taken yesterday at about 10:00 at night...she was far from tired she actually was taking the sunday paper advertisements and carried them from one couch to another!  It was adorable...at the same time she again ruled the night!  We are getting better at this...she is a natural born leader I tell you :-)

***But for a positive note about mommy and daddy leading she went to sleep wonderful in her new big girl toddler bed.  I just read a little book and they she tapped her lil hand next to her and said "mama" So I laid down with her for maybe 5 minutes and she was out!  SCORE!!***

Leanne Renee Rogers

Let me introduce you to my beautiful daughter; Leanne Renee Rogers!  She was born on November 2nd 2008 at 2 AM in the morning...right as the time changed so really 3 AM.  The instant she appeared--she truly came out soo fast like she was coming down the fastest water slide--my life changed.  It is unbelievable how much love I have for her.  I do NOW understand 1/4th more of how my God loves me!  It is special that my daughter was born in November because my birthday is November 9th and my husband's is November 24th. So that means the next lil bundle of Joy will HAVE to be November..hehehe!
This is Obviously before Leanne appeared

Here I am in the Hospital where Leanne will Appear Shortly!

Taa Daa  She has Appeared!  This is my all time favorite picture of her because she is posing...she had a little bit of jaundice when she arrived home from the hospital....so she was sun bathing indoors :-)

~My Family~

Keepin' It Real

Ok...So I have been following a few of my friends blogs...and I will have to tell ya guys they are amazing! So thanks to Candra Georgi and Sunshine Porter and Travis Ester-- I have enjoyed reading them so much that I have decided to do my own.  So here it goes..

First off I wanted to explain the name of the title.  Keepin' It Real is something that goes back to when me and my husband first met.  We were going to a singles group called the Exchange with Westridge Church and one of the things that we used to do on Sunday Night was hang out at our friend's house eat, play games, talk, all around have fun and we called it Keepin' It Real.  So that is where the name was born :-) Also I am a very real person that keeps it real with whatever is going on in my life.  And lately it has consisted of what a lil almost 2 year old does.  Poo Poo is something we talk about regularly.  Anyways as we continue more into this journey that we are on I will be revealing more and more of the funnies as well as the life lessons that I learn.  Here is a picture of my lil family.  Sidenote- I was looking through my pictures to find one of all three..ya I don't have many that we are all three in.  Note to Self need to capture more of the pictures that we are all in :-)  I have a ton of Leanne and Daddy...which you will see later.
